Hands-on Innovation

This is hands-on education where faith meets real-world skills. You won’t just read about helping communities thrive—you’ll learn by doing, through practical training in food, water, and sustainable energy using simple, reproducible methods that work anywhere in the world.

You’ll steward your own garden bed, build an aquaponics system, and take part in a research project creating nutritious, low-cost animal feed using black soldier flies and moringa. You’ll learn how to turn unsafe water into safe drinking water using locally available materials—cement, sand, and a pipe.

You will learn how to discern what plants and animals to raise, how to care for them well, and how to design systems that help families and communities flourish. You’ll discover how to transform waste into resources and respond to real needs with wisdom, humility, and creativity.

This training prepares you to serve the nations sustainably, love your neighbor practically, and live out the Gospel through faithful stewardship of God’s creation.

Global Perspective: Our campus is a crossroads of cultures, ideas, and opportunities. You’ll collaborate with students and staff from all over the world, preparing you for a future without borders.

Epic Location: Hawaii isn’t just a backdrop—it’s part of your journey. Study in paradise, surrounded by natural beauty and a vibrant international community. Most importantly, you can use the principles you learn to love people across the world by serving.
Ready to level up your learning? At the School of Sustainable Development, you’re not just a student—you’re part of a movement.
