VISION

This DTS builds on the premise that by living as a community, we can all learn from each other regardless of culture or age. Every nation, tribe, and language group reflects the character of God. By living together in community, we enable each other to see the different facets of who He is. Single students, married couples, and families are all welcome.

OUR FOCUS

The All Nations All Generations DTS functions like a classic Discipleship Training School, with a focus on joining together people from all stages of life. We have so much to gain and learn from different generations and cultures. It is truly a picture of the Kingdom of God! We are brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents, kids, but all children of God – learning and growing together as a family!
We are all equal at the foot of the cross.

OUTREACH

At the completion of the classroom phase, students have the opportunity to ‘make God known’ in the outreach phase. The Gospel comes alive as students step out in faith to preach the good news, baptize new believers and heal the sick (Mark 16:15-18). Outreach is an exhilarating time of risk and adventure, as teams serve with local believers: transforming lives and impacting society with the love of Jesus Christ.

Paradigm Shift

Paradigm Shift  ⋅  22/09/16

Outreach to France and Spain is very different from what you would expect in many other locations around the world. They are advanced, western societies, just like at home (USA). Our experiences as missionaries would not compare to the teams that were sent to Southeast Asia or the Pacific Islands, at least that's what we thought. On our first day of ministry in France, our team went to a school…

Before I came to DTS, I was very focused on my professional life. After the first year of working at a company, I decided to exclude God from my professional life. My non-Christian boss and colleagues were being mean because that’s “the way” you had to be in a working environment. After almost two years of doing so, I felt consumed that I wasn’t living for a meaningful purpose. I…

One Step Further – What Is It…

One Step Further – What Is It Like To Be A Family In DTS?  ⋅  22/09/16

The Unhammers - Norway We are a family of four. We were active in our local church, but still we longed for more of God. As parents, we wanted the kids to experience that Jesus is still alive today, and not only something that they have heard about in Sunday school. We have also been part of family ministry in Norway and have a special heart for families and relationships.…

School Leaders: Kevin and Liz Norris

Kevin and Liz are both from New Zealand and have served for many years in YWAM in a number of countries including England, New Zealand, Hong Kong and now Kona. Kevin has been involved in worship leading and teaching, having staffed and led both Schools of Worship and DTS’s. Liz has also staffed and led DTS’s and has also taught children of different ages in a number of school settings. Kevin’s background training was in mechanical engineering while LIz is a trained school teacher.

They both have a heart for training and discipling in the missions context and have had experience in leading Disciple Training Schools involving both youth and the older age group growing in God together. They see the value of learning God’s ways in the context of multiple nationalities and generations. Each country represented and the variety of life experiences all contribute to a rich and diverse learning environment.

Kevin and Liz have four adult children, serving God in Hawaii, Mexico and New Zealand, and four grandchildren.
