Throughout history, the tribes of Northern Asia have exerted great influence over the world. They crossed Siberia and the Gobi desert to dominate the entire region of Eurasia, the Roman Empire and the Middle East, and impacted the nations over many centuries.

What was done in the past brought pain and destruction to the nations, but now we desire to go as channels of God’s blessing and restoration to the ends of the earth.

As the world continues to highlight tension and conflict among two Koreas, China, Japan, Russia and Mongolia, God’s heart is bringing these untamable nations to reconciliation.  God wants to unite these nations and use them to finalize God’s great commission.  So we believe in Restored Asia, Renewed Asia, Reconciled Asia for this very purpose.

For this purpose we are running a multicultural, English/Korean bilingual school inviting natives from these regions, diasporas of these nations, and the foreigners who love these nations to come together to fall in love with God and walk in righteous life.

At the completion of the classroom phase, students have the opportunity to ‘make God known’ in the outreach phase. The Gospel comes alive as students step out in faith to preach the good news, baptize new believers and heal the sick (Mark 16:15-18). Outreach is an exhilarating time of risk and adventure, as teams serve with local believers: transforming lives and impacting society with the love of Jesus Christ.

Mark and Stacey Cho

Mark and Stacey Cho  have a sixteen year old spunky daughter who loves life. Currently, living in Kona, Hawaii, Mark and Stacey have been serving as DTS leaders since 2015. Prior to YWAM, Mark has been serving in Youth Ministry in various capacities for twenty-five years. Mark as a young immigrant who tried to fit into new society had gone through challenging adolescence, and this led him to work with many troubled teens. He served as a youth pastor in Seattle as well as working with juvenile trouble teens in government until Lord called them to missions full time. Mark and Stacey are excited about this new year and praying this generation will fall in love with God and share this amazing love with the nations through this important region called Northeast Asia.

Ayumi Ono

Ayumi Ono is from Sapporo, Japan, and lived in Denmark for over ten years. She completed Crossroads DTS in 2016 and has been serving in NE Asia DTS since 2018. She simply wants to hear from God and obey. She is deeply in love with Jesus and wants to grow more in love with Him through NE Asia DTS 2020.  She has traveled to Malaysia, India, Korea and Japan on her outreach for last three years. Her passion is to bring a good news to unreached people.

Lee “Isaac” Cho

Lee “Isaac” Cho is a Korean-American born in Baltimore, Maryland. His heart is for the broken and the lost. After serving some time in addiction and rehabilitation ministries in Baltimore, God called him to move to Kona to serve North East Asia DTS. During his DTS back in 2018, God opened his heart for the nations, particularly the North East Asia region of the world. His passion is to raise up the next generation of missionaries and leaders.

Juman Lee

Juman Lee did his DTS in Vancouver, Canada in 2007.  Since then he took several secondary level courses with University of the Nations worldwide including SBS from Lausanne, Switzerland.   He served on staff for New Korea Mission Center at U of N Jeju from 2012-2013.

Ten years after he did his DTS, God called him back to DTS in 2017 to NE Asia in Kona.  It is mainly because of his heart for United Korea.

In 2018, he had a privilege to participate in 40-day worship gathering in S. Korea.  During this time, he coordinated the whole event working with 240 different worship teams from all over Korea as well as from twenty different nations,

His life verse is Psalms 27:4 and his motto is “One Thing” that is to seek One Thing.

In short, his vision is for Korea to become One priestly nation, serving other nations, and run together preparing for the way of the Lord as a true worshipper.
