What is the Kokua Crew Program?

This is a full program where individuals get room and board while serving and working on campus! Work, have fun, fellowship, enjoy “family” meetings with worship and guest speakers, and even have the option of going on low budget weekend tours around the beautiful island of Hawaii! How long is the Kokua Crew Program?

The Kokua Crew Program is a set period of commitment (6 weeks or 3 months) with specific arrival and departure dates where individuals serve in one of the 10 critical departments on the Kona campus.

Are flights included?

No, sorry, you have to find your own way to and from the island! 😉

What type of Kokua Crew roles are available?

Some examples of roles include:

  • Kitchen (all volunteers serve here for at least part of their stay)
  • Housekeeping
  • Grounds
  • Maintenance
  • Foundation School
  • Korean Foundation School
  • Preschool
  • Learning Centre
  • Boutique (Thrift Shop)
  • Mail room
