What is the Discovery Center?

The Discovery Center is a place on campus to help people discover God’s unique calling and purpose for their lives.   Destiny by Design teaching, individual profiles and discovery sessions are used to help people  in this process. The Discovery Center also helps Inform them of opportunities and trainings that are currently available within the YWAM/UofN community and beyond. It also facilitates networking them within their God-directed sphere of influence (Family, Economy, Government, Religion, Education, Media and Celebration).

Darlene Cunningham (co-founder of Youth with a Mission) dreamed and believed God for many years to have a place on campus for people to discover their purpose and calling. That place is now a reality and is called the “Discovery Center”.

The Destiny by Design teaching is foundational and used to facilitate that process.

Destiny by Design is a teaching to help people recognize their unique design and help them on the path to fulfill their calling.

How does God reveal your DESIGN?

  • He reveals it in your DREAMS and in the desires of your heart
  • He shapes it through the EXPERIENCES of your life
  • He demonstrates your SOULPRINT through your unique personality
  • He reveals your true IDENTITY through Jesus
  • He tailors it to you by giving you special GIFTS and abilities
  • He NETWORKS us with others to help us go beyond anything we could do on our own

It is your time in His story. Your opportunity to make a difference. Helping others know Him and walk in the path designed for them is part of it. May God’s dreams become a reality through us!

Join the Discovery Center Team

Do you have a passion to help your fellow staff and students discover and walk in their God-given callings? We need Discovery Center staff who are called to strengthen the Discovery Center vision through their gifts and skills, such as:
  • Administration, hospitality, media, teaching, mentoring, etc
  • Help individuals identify their God-given strengths, values, and passions through utilizing Destiny by Design.
  • Discover and encourage people into their next steps in missions, ministry, or marketplace.
  • Connect participants with schools, outreach opportunities, or teams aligned with their calling.
  • Help people to discern God’s voice and direction with prophetic and pastoral support.
