About this ministry

To mobilize medical workers to be part of the next wave of missionaries, bringing the two-handed gospel to the world. Since 1983, YWAM UofN Kona has been involved with health care training in global missions. This has included seminars on Community Based Health Education, travel medicine for our campus, and equipping YWAM workers in Primary Health Care courses all over the world.

Mobilizing Medical Workers into Missions

Conference Objectives

  • Come get refreshed with worship and learn more of the call of God on your life!
  • Learn how to integrate your faith, prayers and evangelism when interacting with patients through a biblical worldview.
  • Understand diagnosis and treatment of key global health issues.
  • Explore future opportunities to be involved in international short-term training and medical outreaches with YWAM and YWAM Ships.

    • Topics include:

    • More than infections: Global Health 2024
    • Malaria update
    • Approach to pediatric screening (IMCI)
    • Skin disease in tropical environments
    • Community health education: a basis for empowerment

    Registration Fee of $1500 Includes

  • CME tuition and syllabus
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off
  • Housing (June 15 – 22)
  • Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Sunday evening welcome dinner
  • Friday evening closing dinner

    You’ll be housed at the YWAM UofN Kona

    If you choose to find and pay for your housing and food for the week you can select the option to pay for just the conference. This fee is $1080. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are still available for purchase for $5 cash at the cafeteria Monday – Friday. Special conference meals are included in the price.
