Loren Cunningham Celebrates 85th

The volunteer staff and families of YWAM Kona gathered around the Plaza of the Nations at the heart of YWAM Kona’s University of the Nations Campus to wish YWAM founder, Loren Cunningham a happy 85th birthday yesterday, June 30th in a “drive by” party with some social distancing measures in practice… There were also cupcakes!

Loren took three victory laps around the flags that represent the volunteer missionaries that come to this place from every continent and are sent out to nations all across the globe. Loren has served the Lord and championed young people to go in missions throughout his 85 years – and he shows no signs of stopping soon. Family – including his wife and YWAM co-founder Darlene Cunningham, his son David Cunningham and daughter Karen Cunningham as well as close friends and fellow YWAM missionaries gathered at the Banyan Tree Cafe overlooking the plaza to pray for Loren and express their love and gratitude.

Hundreds of greetings have poured in from around the globe on the new LorenCunningham.com website – share your birthday greeting here.
