Associate of Arts in Oral Bible Translation

The University of the Nations is here to launch you into your missional calling. We’ve developed these degree pathways to equip you with the virtue, knowledge, and skills it takes to bring transformation to people and societies all over the world.

One of the largest injustices our world faces is Bible Poverty. Of the 7,139 officially recognized languages on earth, 1,148 do not have a single verse of the Bible and no one has started the translation process. This pathway will teach you the steps involved in Oral Bible Translation.

We believe we can end this injustice in our generation. Join our Bible-less Languages Pathway to see every tribe, nation, and tongue receive the story of Jesus.

Steps to Complete Pathway

1

Discipleship Training School

DTS is a 6 month experience that will transform your life by pushing you to know God and make Him known.

Bible School

In this step, you can choose from the Discipleship Bible School , Word by Heart, or Bible Core Course.

Community Development School

In the Community Development School, you will learn how to be an agent of Kingdom change in communities around the world, bringing God’s love to those in need.

Field Assignment

Building on what you learned in Community Development School, you will have the opportunity to observe, serve and learn from different community development ministries in action.

Oral Bible Translation School

In the Oral Bible Translation School, you will be a part of a team that will make the Word of God accessible to people groups in their mother language for the very first time in history. You will learn directly from real life experts in the field to help equip you to become a Bible translation facilitator.

Field Assignment

Following your coursework, you’ll apply the skills acquired during your Oral Bible Translation School training in real-world scenarios.

You have a unique God-given calling. We want to help you pursue it.

YWAM’s UofN Courses will develop your character, skills and help you find a team to work with.
