By cultivating meaningful intercultural relationships you will not only foster a deep understanding of the rich tapestry of human diversity, but you will also learn what it means to truly partner with new communities to witness God's transformative impact in their society.

What happens in this course?

We will equip you with practical tools and strategies to understand the cultural intricacies of various people groups, as well as learning their languages through a fun, connected, and relational approach, rather than a traditional, technical, school-like method.

Training Phase (3 months)

We employ an innovative approach to teaching using Storality (i.e., story-telling) as the central means of instruction, enabling a fun, connected, and relational learning experience.

Outreach Phase (3 month)

Immersive practicum

During the practicum you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a village in Papua New Guinea, where you can continue your journey of language learning and cultural discovery. As you engage in daily activities and serve the local community, you will deepen your understanding and appreciation of their unique culture and way of life.
What makes us unique?

Oral Bible Translation

This course comes highly recommended for any YWAMer planning to be involved in Oral Bible Translation (OBT) or intending to serve in a country or nation different from their own.

Language Learning

During the course you’ll have the opportunity to learn the Tok Pisin language of Papua New Guinea. This hands-on experience will allow you to directly engage with a people and culture you’ve been studying, further deepening your understanding and appreciation of human diversity.
